How can one live a full life on an empty stomach?
Better yet, how can one live a full life without having tried Ozen?!!
— my friends, let me put you on.

Sushi lovers, you’re missing out. NON sushi lovers, you’re still missing out.
London Ontario’s best sushi, in my opinion — and trust me, I’ve tried them all!
Ozen never disappoints - always fresh, from the rice, fish and vegetables right down to the quality of the seaweed. Friendly atmosphere with a comfortable upper dining area and very welcoming staff. Great customer service and excellent sushi!
While I personally think this sushi spot deserves a feature in a big name food blog or national magazine, I’ll give you my run down:
Ocean Roll #2:
9.5/10
What's inside: 8 pieces. Cucumber, avocado, crab meat, torched albacore tuna, garlic flakes.
Literally the perfect combination of crunch, freshness and savouriness all in one bite. The torched albacore tuna and the cool crab, avocado and cucumber combo crunch balance each other out nicely. The garlic crisps add that touch of extra flavour needed to make each a piece of bite-sized perfection!
If you don’t love raw fish or the chewy texture, I recommend this roll.
If you like spice, ask for a side of spicy mayo (just how I like it! And this spicy mayo has a true KICK)
If you love a classic California Roll, consider this it's dressed up older sister.
*Note: the roll itself (minus soy sauce) is on the saltier side.
Ichi Roll Set
10/10
What's included: 12 pieces. 6 pieces spicy tuna, 6 pieces spicy salmon.
Can’t go wrong with a spicy salmon and spicy tuna combo. I shared this with my sister, who ate the tuna and I the salmon.
Both rolls were fresh and both the fish and rice were soft, not chewy.
We had the mayo on the side - I recommend this because I personally think there’s a fine line between safe and overkill when it comes to the sauce-to-rice ratio — especially with Ozen’s spicy mayo.
Tuna Poke Bowl
7.5/10
What's inside: red tuna, avocado, mango, edamame, tamale, fish eggs, seaweed salad, onions, brown rice, spicy mayo.
Ozen’s newest menu addition! We tried and we came to the conclusion that though the fish was fresh, the seaweed salad gave the poke bowl a strong ginger taste. Loved the mango, mayo and vegetable combos in this bowl and the tuna was very fresh, as always.
Delicious, minus the seaweed for me.
Let me know your verdict when you try this hidden gem for yourself!
Until my next dose of YUM,
xx Sab
