Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️
What better way to celebrate love day than with chocolate, chocolate and more sweet, decadent, hand crafted European chocolate!
This post is special because Forrat’s chocolate lounge is where I had my 'first' date with my person; my now special Valentine! <3
While I may write about it as a chocolate lounge, I’ll always remember it as more than that.
I’ll remember it as a place where I, a highly lactose intolerant woman, took a risk and ate !REGULAR! chocolate ice cream because I was scared to be picky on my ‘first’ date.
A place where I sat with my legs up and shoes off on Forrat’s famous bed-style table.
A place I walked out of not knowing would be the start of countless memories with a man I didn’t know I’d love the way I do now.
I promise this won't be too cheesy of a blog. Its about chocolate not cheese, duh ;)
I’ll keep it short and sweet.
We had chocolate ice cream. Double scoop ;) 🍨

The ice cream was decadent and rich and tasted just as creamy as good chocolate ice cream should taste. That’s my biased opinion, though, because I sure love any and all things chocolate. No matter the occasion.
Forrat’s specializes in fresh European truffles, caramels and chocolates, which are made exclusively at its London Ontario chocolate studio.

I’ve tried the brewed coffee, hot chocolate, milk chocolate covered marshmallows and dark chocolate covered rice crisps from here. They were all delicious. I have nothing but good words, a full heart and a big smile to ‘say’ about Forrat’s.
The bed-style seating at Forrat’s made this date experience memorable and quite funny. Being forced to take off our shoes made it all the more reason to laugh. It definitely broke the ice, haha. Good thing I didn’t mix-match my socks that day!
I speak fondly of Forrat’s because for one, its authentic European QUALITY chocolate and two, its a symbol of love and of a moment in time when I realized how special sharing chocolate ice cream with someone could wind up being. That someone is now my best friend <3
Anyways, nostalgia mixed with chocolate = a perfect little love language. Especially for Valentine’s Day.
Do chocolate and love go hand in hand? For me, yes indeed. A perfectly intimate chocolate-felt love story. I live for it.
Love you, A. 🍫❤️
Until my next dose of YUM,
xx Sab
